How do I measure insulation performance?The R value indicates resistance to heat flow. The greater the R value, the greater the resistance to heat flow which means greater insulation properties. For our zone, zone 2, the following values are recommended.
Can I increase my house's energy efficiency?We recommend that you upgrade the walls (to R-15) and ceilings (to R-38) for a higher R value insulation. This will increase you insulation factor. What is a R-Value?It indicates insulating power or thermal resistance. Where should I insulate?The more you insulate the more energy you save.
